Which methods of payment can I use to place an order?
Tri-State accepts all major credit cards including, VISA (preferred), Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Information such as your current billing address and phone number is required in order to avoid any delays in processing your order.
Money orders should be made out in US dollars.
Personal and Company checks are acceptable when issued for payment by a US bank. All C.O.D. parcels will have a $9.00 fee.
Purchase Orders are accepted, subject to verification and approval by our Credit Department at (212) 633-2454, ext.#260.
Wire transfers are made possible by our Credit Dept. as well. Please call the above number for procedure guidance.
Do you accept Paypal on www.TristateCamera.com?
If you would like to place an order using PayPal, please add your items to the Shopping cart. At checkout you will be able to select PayPal as a payment method. Important: We only accept Paypal from within the U.S., Canada & the U.K. The shipping address MUST match your Paypal confirmed address. We will only ship to a Paypal confirmed address, NO exceptions.
Are there any additional costs other than those listed on-line?
Total charges will include precisely what is indicated on our web site. It will comprise the sum of the items ordered, plus shipping & handling based on the 'ship to' location. A local sales tax will be calculated on the total order of your merchandise when shipped within New York State. Resale certificates and tax exempt forms should be faxed to our Credit Department at (212) 633-7718 and will be kept in our customer files for future orders. No tax or other fees will be applied to orders shipped out of New York State.
What are your shipping rates?
All shipping rates are calculated based on the items in the shopping cart and shipping destination. All parcels are shipped ground shipping unless an upgrade shipping method is requested. Select products qualify for free UPS Ground shipping in the Continental US.
Do you carry different products other than those listed on-line?
At Tri-State, we are constantly working to update product information and posting them to our website. Due to the continual expansion of the market, as well as certain manufacturer's restrictions we are often unable to list all the merchandise and choices of different brands we actually have available. How can I get more information on particular items I am interested in?
Most items on our web site have a detailed description and picture of each product, which is continuously being updated. If any further information is required manufacturers' web links can be accessed directly.
Is your website secure, and will my personal and credit card information be safe?
All on-line ordering is 100% encrypted through SSL. This technology ensures that credit card information transmitted to the site can only be seen by the site, and not by third parties. Our customer's satisfaction has been our priority since 1977.

We guarantee that every online transaction you make will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of shopping at our online store. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, we will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00. We will only cover this liability if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made while using the secure server. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
What are your shipping regulations for orders shipped within the US?
Tri-State can ship to any business or residential area as long as a physical address is provided. All packages, regardless of destination, require signature at delivery time. Delays should be expected with all parcels going to PO Boxes. Shipments going to hotels, or motels, must be prepaid with a money order issued by a US bank. Shipping rates are based on zip code locations and calculated in shopping cart prior to checkout.
What are your shipping policies for International orders?
The following is required for all orders with a non-U.S billing or shipping address:

Please note: If shipping destination is outside of the USA the shipping and billing address must be the same.
How can I check the current status of an order, or change info on an order that was already placed?
All orders are processed within 24 hours of being placed. If any item is temporarily out of stock, notification will be made by phone or e-mail as soon as possible. One to two business days from the date of order should be allotted before calling (212) 633-6807 or to retrieve a tracking number on-line on your shipment. To make any type of change to your order after it has already been processed call our customer service department at (212) 633-6807.
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or product information, tristatecamera.com shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.
What are your policies for warranties and returns?
Tri-State is committed to your satisfaction. All items are covered under the manufacturer/Tristate's original warranty. We will gladly replace or repair any defective items. We offer a 30-day guarantee from date of invoice for all photo equipment, and digital cameras. Video products, notebook computers, are covered under our 10-day exchange guarantee. Sales are final on all Plasma TVs, TVs, Whiteboards, Printers, Copiers, Fax machines, Air conditioners, Appliances, PDAs, and GPSs. All returned items must be shipped in its original carton with blank warrantee cards in order to receive proper credit or exchange. Parcels returned with missing parts or packaging inserts, such as warranty cards, rebates, or notes on the outside box, etc. will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Returns of film ink cartridges and other consumable products will not be accepted once it has been opened. Merchandise being returned for refund, repair, or exchange must be repacked properly insured and marked on the outside box with a Returned Merchandise Authorization issued by our return department.
