Utilizing the Pansonic MN85560 encoder chip,
the StormEncoder Module snaps directly onto the DVStorm PCI board.MPEG Output...Unlike MJPEG and DV, MPEG offers significant flexibility in quality, bandwidth and use. MPEG streams can be found in everything from low-bandwidth,
consumer web pages to broadcast programming. The MPEG standard allows you to adjust many parameters to meet your needs. MPEG Performance... StormEncoder is a daughtercard to the DVStorm capture card, and allows you to
output high-quality MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 in realtime. MPEG-1 is used in applications ranging from Internet distribution to Video CD. MPEG-2 is a full-frame-rate, full-screen format used primarily for broadcast quality video, such as home satellite dish
systems and DVD-Video.
