The Digital Video illustrator has an advanced, high-resolution titling function, with a full keyboard, a palette of 256 colors, a variety of special effects, and a GPI interface for compatibility with professional editors. The 24 built-in fonts
have variable sizes, outlines and borders. Many more fonts, including character groups of several languages, are available on separate cartridges. Titles can scroll, wipe and fade in several speeds, and are easily combined with live video and
graphics.
Paint Box
With the Digital Video illustrators painting function, 256 colors and an infinite variety of shapes are available for creating the most intricate and exciting graphic art. You can fill any shape with color at the click of
the mouse, and even change colors in different segments of the same shape. Drawings are easy to copy, edit and move around the screen to compose complex illustrations. Designs can scroll, wipe and fade in several speeds, just like text, and are
easily combined with live video images.
Frame Grabber
The Digital Video illustrator is the only special effects machine in its class with an advanced Frame Grabber technology for digitizing and 'freezing' video images. You can
'grab' images from all video sources: VCRs, video disk players, even live camcorder shots. Once an image is 'grabbed', you can manipulate it in virtually any way imaginable, adding graphics and text with the Paint Box and Titler functions. If you
'grab' and store several images of one subject, you can combine them into an animation sequence. Imagine: you can create animations with a face, a building, a car - or any other video images. The Frame Grabber also lets you capture printed
characters, logos and text from any language in the world - no ordinary character generator can do that! And you can easily stylize the text after you 'grab' it with the Paint Box function - for example, you can create posterization effects, 3-D effects,
or multi-color shadowing.

The Digital Video illustrator is like a miniature animation studio in a box! State-of-the-art technology provides you with a unique ability to create your own professional-quality animation sequences.
Create cartoons, animated titles, advertising displays, corporate presentations - your imagination is the only limitation! You can also create a library of animations by storing them on the removeable, blank cartridges available.
