The Slik Pro 823 CF 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod is a beefy photography tripod that supports enough weight (up to 18 lb) to be used with a video head and a camcorder. As for still cameras, the Pro 823 CF is suitable for use with almost any head paired with a medium or large format camera or a DSLR with a zoom or long telephoto lens. The 823 Pro reaches a maximum height of 66.3" and weighs 3.6 lb.
The three leg sections are secured and freed by way of twist locks. Because the legs are non-rotating, you can unlock both of a leg's stages at once by twisting the two large rubber grips with one hand. This enables fast setup of the Pro 823 CF tripod.
The rapid center column is removable as well as reversible for extreme low-angle shooting with an inverted camera. At the bottom of the center column is a metal hook for hanging a counterweight for additional stability for uneven loads or for windy conditions.
